Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted November 9, 200816 yr It would just have it so that having an option to not increase the warn level, but add a note to their warn log. I know you can do this via the ACP, but I want moderators who can't access the ACP to be able to.
November 10, 200816 yr this would be great, or the ability to add neutral warnings, instead of an infraction.
November 11, 200816 yr Simple answer... Add the warning then alter the user's warn back to 0 from the user management part of the AdminCP If you need to warn a user about their behaviour without actually raising their level personally I have always found a firm but friendly PM usually does the trick, unless they are bent on causing trouble.
November 11, 200816 yr Nope, but the admins themselves can warn them. Thing is if you add a warn note but no actual raise of warning, the user won't be alerted to it and will not look at it or read it unless you PM them as well... And as you could just PM them in the first place it still defeats the object in all honesty.
November 12, 200816 yr Seems you still do not get the point. Um, have you thought that maybe a moderator or admin just wants to leave some notes on the member, not necessarily a warning for the member to know about? <_< Also, not everyone wants to contact the member when they are warned. That's why there is an option for that, I almost never do.
