Show signatures once per topic would be a nice default IPB feature

So if someone has three posts in a topic, only his first post would have the signature.

Gives a lot more flexibility for the owner in case you get too many of the same signatures flooding a thread. Like during political season.

hopefully better signature controls are something we'll see in a future version.

i know there's some sort of mod out there for it, but this is a basic level of control that I feel should be in IPB by default.

That's why IPB has ways of resizing images/putting limits and why forums have rules.

Signatures are another way to see who posted something. It's also something people want too have shown at every post since it represents them and is something they can show off.

After a quick search, I think this is what your looking for:

I believe that it works on 2.3.x as well.

:)

Sorry to dredge up a really old topic, but I am strongly considering this functionality as a way to cut back on the load time on some pages and to limit the exposure of how many links some members who put their personal blog links in signatures will get. However, this link no longer works. Does anyone know if there is anything like this for 3.1.2?

Thanks!

This mod worked great for me in version 2.2, it makes it so much easier to actually read threads. Doesn't work in 3.3 unfortunately does anyone know of a new version or know where I can get the old version again to see if I can update it?

thanks
Chris
