dave@junomedia.co.uk
How come license holders do not get access to older version of IPB, starting from the 1.0 series? Would be cool to get to test those out.

bfarber
We do not provide support for such older versions, and as such don't distribute them anymore.
dave@junomedia.co.uk
For one reason I recently bought an IF database which is 1.3, so I would need a 1.3 board to upload it on there. A second reason is just to test out previous software. It's not like I would use it on a live site.
Michael
Unless you are planning on continuing to run 1.3 with that database, then no, you do not need the 1.3 files. Just import the database, upload the files for whatever version you plan on running, and run the upgrade script.

If you have the database you can upload it to a host and get the latest version of ipb from here and then upload the files. Then add the info to your database in the config file and then run the upgrade.Unless you are planning on continuing to run 1.3 with that database, then no, you do not need the 1.3 files. LOL exactly what I said.
.Matt.
I wanted to today, so I could look back on how far IPS has come. Would be interesting, just to install it on a test account. not for like a live board.
