A few suggestions for the profile (sorry if these have been suggested before, I searched and did not find:)

1. Add a skype id field.
2. Add a GTalk field.
3. Rename MSN field to Windows Live, as that's what it is now called.

Agreed, this has always been suggested and nothing happens. I think it needs to have a few custom ones too where the user can decided what its called, ect.

I know there was talk about this before (nothing official, I don't think) where all of these fields could be customized in a future version.

What I'm looking for is a way to either have a "Profile View" for custom fields instead of having them all be plain text for custom fields.

Those above, I'm not sure if I would like because I don't know how many people would use it on my forum.

To append to the suggestion then, as I completely agree with you, hide the profile fields such as these that are not filled out. If it's got content, add it to the profile view. Otherwise, don't.

Agreed, and I'm surprised it doesn't already do this, actually...

That being official would be awesome. I'm basically wanting to only have Windows Live of the defaults, and then Xfire and Steam fields.

Pretty simple suggestions, but I'd definitely like to see a skype id field.

I think the way forward is 100% customization, that way board admins can add/remove such fields as they please.

And yes, I agree with hiding them from the Profile View if no data has been entered.
