Ability to merge forums

Perhaps in IPB 3 there could be a feature that gives you the ability to merge forums, rather than mass pruning the topics and moving them to another forum.

If you delete a forum it gives you the option on where to move all of the topics from that forum. Thats a merge IMO.

Yeah, what is missing is an option to delete the contents, not an option to move them.

Or just use the mass prune/move feature.

I think IPB 3 needs a import tool like Impex where 2 IPB's can be imported into 1 Forum with out damage

Again, IPB tries not to overload on features. They will only add features that are A. impossible to do otherwise or B. Are difficult to do otherwise and are done on a single forum by a single staff member regularly.
As you can just as easily move the topics from one forum to another all at once to another forum, delete forum and and maybe change the name of forum B, I doubt they will make an entire module to save people 2 steps on a task done about once a year.
