Posted April 28, 200817 yr How about deleting the function that you can only post 1 post per every "x seconds" and instead adding a code that checks if there is any exaclty the same topic? Because even with the "x seconds" thing you run a big risk of dubble-posting, it's happened to me a couple of times. Sometimes after trying to submit a post it loads slow and it helps clicking another time, but if your unlucky it gets dubble-posted.. Regards, Rasmus

April 30, 200817 yr Then I would suggest that you use the Merge Post setting and set the time frame to be a little longer then 0 or 10 seconds. ;) Well ye :) But I still run a risk of it dubbleposting no matter how much time I set. And if I set to much time it will stop my members from being able to post properly. So the other solution would be better. Or will that slow down the board alot?
April 30, 200817 yr Well if you set the merge posts to like 1-2 minutes it will successfully save you from that (at least it does for me) It puts the posts into one post if they are in the same topic and posted within that time frame. If it happens a member should notice that they have the same post X amount of times in their one post and will edit it so it only appears as one and eliminates you from having to delete them. This also helps for those people that post again within the 2 minute time frame because they don't know how to edit their post. >_<
April 30, 200817 yr I thought that merge feature only worked for Replies? You're asking about a duplicate Topic, right?
