Posted January 9, 200817 yr Where is the upgrade package from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4? I can only find the fullversion of 2.3.4 to download.
January 9, 200817 yr Charles, you had a good job in 2.3.4 version. :) And OleBole, I think there is the upgrade-pack in the files for download.

January 9, 200817 yr No there isn't an upgrade pack between 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 and :) There's always an upgrade built in already everytime there is an upgrade, but not all files are changed, that's why IPS produces the Upgrade Downloads to transition from one version to the next without uploading files left without changes.
January 9, 200817 yr The upgrade package does not include the updated language files, nor does the changed files list in the announcement. The following language files have changed: lang_email_content.php lang_error.php lang_global.php lang_mod.php lang_register.php

January 9, 200817 yr yes also missing from list in announcement is UPGRADE folder and its contents The upgrade folder isn't necessary to be included, there is only a new folder in installfiles to do the 2.3.4 (230007) upgrade. The contents were included in the upgrade pack I'm guessing because the last upgrade pack everyone freaked out that the upgrade didn't work because they didn't save the upgrade files, and the upgrade pack only had the new installfiles folder... therefore it's much better to just include the whole thing to prevent a mess.

January 9, 200817 yr After doing the "upgrade" , in the Admin I'm still getting "IP.Board Version (History) v2.3.3 (ID: 23007)" Everything else shows v2.3.4, be it in Admin or the Forum. EG Admin notices says Welcome to IP.Board 2.3.4. Please keep an eye on this section for important updates regarding this version. Cheers John

January 9, 200817 yr ooop's And I thought I just reporting something relevant to this upgrade Apologies
January 10, 200817 yr You were. Apparently people aren't supposed to be allowed to know things are missing and not working with the upgrade. :P Also obviously they knew once this was posted that files were missing and then they didn't add them still. But whatever, I will just copy and paste them from the full upload.
January 10, 200817 yr Hmm looks like the lang files are there to me. And JohnJH overwrite your init.php with the new one from the full download or edit it and it will report correctly.
January 10, 200817 yr The lang files arent there in the upgrade pack. Anyway I finally got my mods back in. Yay.

I just logged into our ACP and (shock) it shows IP.Board Version (History) v2.3.4 (ID: 23007) So obviously it's a support issue, hence I directed the user to the available avenues of support.
January 10, 200817 yr I have lot of mods installed, are there instructions somewhere to do the upgrade manually.
January 10, 200817 yr What's the point of "ipb_233_234" directory inside the same directory in the upgrade archive? I guess it's there by error!?

January 10, 200817 yr http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...mp;bug_cat_id=3 in which I reported this problem earlier today.
