The components (blog, gallery and downloads) sometimes need updating when there is a major release (as in if the version number is x.y.z - if x or y changes - like when 2.2.0 was released) and sometimes they do a "group" update (like when 2.3.2, 2.2.1, 2.1.7 etc. were released) but there's never been a case where a minor release has needed a components update.
