I can see why these arent removed and why you cannot truncate the table from the SQL Toolbox, however i just looked at mine and they go back to May or so :lol:

Id like to suggest they are removed after 30 days (so a login > 30 days or so is removed or something) , I can see why they are saved as a list of possible hack attempts etc but over 30 days probably isnt much use imo...

Just a thought anyway :)

Or even better allow admins to remove all logs after a specific date with the option to print the logs as well so they can be kept on record

It's a fine line.. If you allow pruning by a set date, then what would prevent me from hacking your forum, setting the date to tomorrow, then manually running the task to prune the log and cover my tracks?

There is that, but perhaps it should not be in the task manager but run as a task (is that possible?) , so that way the hacker couldnt remove the logs. That would be my idea if thats possible. It should remove old logs (imo after 30 days if someone hadnt noticed it then theres not much point keeping them :lol: :unsure: )
