I'm aware that during the week tech support is manned 24/7 (according to "contact us" page), do weekends count as "off" hours?

Yes - we have techs working on tickets over the weekend (no phone support), although it may be slower than in during usual business hours :) Also, if your issue needs to be escalated to a developer or management, then it will be handled once the working week resumes :)
