Guest
Looks like the spam bots can decode the captcha in ipb2.2 now as well, pitty it has been good for a while, now it's back to pruning topics :(Does anyone have a good captcha modification (which doesn't need truetype font processing) to replace the standard captcha with? bfarber
We found an issue with 2.2's captcha which is addressed in 2.3.
Guest
cool, any chance you could share the modification of the changed captcha code before the 2.3 release? :)
bfarber
1) I don't have the changes available off hand2) If we let it out what it is exactly, it will probably open up the spamming a bit more than it is now, which we'd like to avoid.
Stuart Elliott
I've still found adding a Custom field asking the new user to type in a number that matches the word above the most affective, I've not had a single spambot signup since I added that, when I was getting 2-3 a week previously.
