Hello.
First, I want to say that I really like what you have created here. I just bought 2.2 and it is up and running smooth. I do not see any cons.
That said, I almost didn't buy it.
I have used free forums for a few years now. about a year ago I came across IPB 1.3. It is still a decent peice of software and I always liked the feel of IPB so I used it for the last year at my gaming website's forum. I was sure there were some bugs or holes in it since IPB had advanced so far, but I didnt care since backups were easy to make.
Then I ran across a 2.x version of the board and was impressed. This would really help enhance the community. (it DID go over as a big hit! ;) )

The problem
I dont think that you push the benefits of upgrading. I did the demo account but you can only find out so much in 12 hours and even though you can get an extension you just wont grasp how much better this is unless your a previous IPB fan. In the end my users helped. I was focusing on the admin end, but they like the newer freedom in the profile.

The solution?
Well, thats your area. <_<

I think you should be able to put in an application to get a demo which will last for x number of days, once approved your guy's scripts will kick in and set up a database and application with a random password and send it off to the user to test for a few days...

I felt 12 hours while fighting with other people was a little rough, but I made my decision from talking to other people and wanting away from PHPBB so badly.

Agreed. You should have more then twelve hours, back when it lasted for a week that was great. I had people register on it, test it out had a beta test group and we decided. 12 hours... think of it this way, you buy a new computer or software and you have 12 hours to test it and then everything you did resets and you can't use it? All the customization, tweaking ect, just tinkering with it is gone. No fun... :(

You should have a request form where people input the time length needed, and then the department approves or deny's it depending on why you are requesting more time.

We do actually have extended demos if you (or a potential customer) contacts our sales department. They can override the 12 hour period on a case-by-case basis. :)
