Is Converge gone from this board because the login form takes me to the regular log in form and the IPS Client Area doesn't work with the login?

Same thing here, I was wondering if Converge was disabled and being worked on, or if you just removed the forums application and added Nexus and left it at that.

IPB 2.3 has complete IP.Converge integration.

That means for:
Logging In
Registering
Changing Email
Changing Pass

Etc. etc. etc.

It is all done through the board, making calls to IP.Converge in the backend. If your board is converged, you will never have to be redirected to the Converge script.

As Keith mentioned, we are indeed using Converge here but the 2.3 update allows for better integration so you never have to see Converge working in the background.

No. :)

It does log you in via the converge system, however the converge application has no way of knowing when you visit who you are or that you are logged in. Sessions are handled by the application individually - Converge is just the centralized place to ensure the login credentials are correct.

So if I want to use a central login form for everything, can I still do that with 2.3? It seems more logical to use one form, rather than multiple separate ones...

You can, yes, by editing the converge login method and pointing the appropriate urls at the converge installation. :)
