Load increased with new version?

Has anyone whose been using RC3 noticed an increase in their server load since doing the upgrade? I'd like to know as the final doesn't seem to be to far away and my server is on the verge of needing an upgrade

As stated before it is actually faster than 2.1 because most of the changes were security and optimization based. The new stuff added should have no effect on the load at all.
