ZuCruTrooper2
Well, considering that MySQL 5.2 doesn't even exist yet, I don't think it is recommended. You're probably thinking of PHP.I personally am running a custom version of 5.0.27 without any problems. 4.1 or 5.0 would be best, preferably with the latest mini-version. stooley
5.2.0 exist in my WHM Server Panel and i will upgraded today or tomorrow ;)Still think you are thinking of PHP 5.2 which just came out a week or so ago.The highest MySQL version is 5.1.12 which is a BETA so I do not think 5.2 is available in WHM.I am running 5.0.27 with mine..no issues. TestingSomething
I want to know this too, and which PHP version. I am still on php 4.3 and mysql 4.1 but I can be moved to 5.0+ of both if I want.
Dark Phantom
Can a member of the IPS staff team state which version of MySQL is best suited for IP.Board 2.2?5.0.27 is the current 5.0.x version.IPB 2.2 supports 5.0.x thus the suggest version will always be the current version, UNLESS an update within release changes something major. An example of this was like the 4th release of the 5.0.x releases, which actually changed the way something work, this meant that IPB 2.1.0 was unable to work with it till IPB updated some of its code.I should note that IPB 2.1.0 doesn't "support" MySQL 5.0.x but it does work with it to a point. This is also not exactly a support forum, and since IPB 2.2.0 is not exactly supported, you should wait till the Final release the open a support ticket. Mat Barrie
It's not BETA!Look this image(My WHM)It's available in my WHM since 3-4days...http://www.php.net/You have got to be kidding. Let's go over the question:"What is the best MySQL database for 2.2?"You have been told THREE TIMES that the poster isn't talking about PHP. Yet, you continue to insist that PHP is somehow the same thing as MySQL which it, you know, isn't.Let's go over the last answer that you for some demon-unknown reason think is wrong:"The highest MySQL version is 5.1.12 which is a BETA"Yet you link to www.php.net. Hey, guess what, MySQL is located at www.mysql.com, and the latest version is 5.1.12 BETA!

TestingSomething
Oh man, I went from PHP 4.3 and MySQL 4.3 to PHP 5.1 and MySQL 5.0, and it is unbelievable to me how fast I am zipping through pages and posting and editor loading and such on my site now. I doubt it's that the server is less loaded. Besides even when I have benn on lightly loaded ones, the editor screen never loaded as quickly as it is doing now.The only problem is a site I shall not name does not code their mods as well as all of my other mods are coded, and thus I am losing a lot of mods which I like because they are encoded and won't work in this configuration apparently. TestingSomething
OOps, meant 4.1And what's this deal in IE7 where if it takes the person to the latest post, it goes to the editor instead? That is how it used to do and they fixed it and suddenly today it is doing it again. But only after posting, I believe.
ZuCruTrooper2
TryLighttpd + php 5.1.6 + eaccealerator + MySql 5.0.270.0 load or 0.1 (w00t)Or PHP 5.2 while you're at it; it's supposed to be much faster than any other 5.x branch.TurXaliM, since you've been royally pwned (by yourself really) in this thread since you keep yapping and are not reading, from now on, would you please take five seconds to comprehend a post before getting defensive and belligerent regarding something you've shown you obviously have no clue on?Kyanar, nice delivery of the pwnage.
