Can I skin out something from the profile?

Hi again,

I gave up on adjusting my custom skins for this new version (that I love btw), so I redesigned them from scratch. I think I'm ok now, and I will know what to do when the final version is released.

My other big concerns now are two of the features in the new profile, "Last Visitors" and "Add Friend."

Because I run a board for victims of abuse, I must always be very careful about their privacy and their feelings. I already know that the "last visitors" feature will be a BIG problem, especially for members who have suffered through stalking issues and may be paranoid about who sees their profile. The option to add a member to your friends' list is also going to create problems with my members, for reasons I won't bore you with.

I would like to know if there is a way to disable these two features and still keep the new profile. I know I can choose to use the old profile and that would solve the issue, but I really do like the new one. If there is a way to use it while getting rid of the "Last Visitors" and "Add Friend" features, I'd be very happy.

Can someone guide me through the steps to skin these 2 features out?

Thank you.

What?! I'm just trying to help.

Yaya, I know I'm just saying "smooth" bud. hystericalwdukv7to.gif

Actually, I'm trying to say that if you're respecting IPB's wishes to only offer support to registered owners, you'd simply tell people to login to IPSbeyond for help. But female admins can be trusted, so no worries. (PurpleRain, just ignore this banter--I'm just yankin' on anubis' chain, lol.)

If you have some kind of instant messenger then I can help you out over there. As giving support on these forums isn't really allowed.

Ok, sorry. I didn't know giving support here wasn't allowed. Thank you for offering to help, I'll send you a pm.

I am a registered owner (I have the lifetime license). I usually post at IPSbeyond but I thought this forum was more appropiate to discuss problems with the new release. :)

Just FYI, there's a new(ish) 2.2 forum over at IPSB that you can post on :)
