Clownpaint
I just got 2.2, uploaded the files, went to upgrade and...Turns out there's no upgrade file for IPB 2.1.7!! What the heck?! It's trying to upgrade from ipb 1.3 when I have 2.1.7, and there are no files for 2.1.7 afaik. What can I do? are the files missing or is there not an upgrade for that version yet?

Clownpaint
I understand how to upgrade, I've been doing it since version 2.1.3 I think. But the software detects my board as version 1.3? Then it obviously can't upgrade because it tries to create tables and stuff which are from v 1.3.

tzrtim
It be best if you get IPB to update you to Version 2.1.7 as 2.2 is still a RC and is really ready for a live board!

Boult
I would ask for help either via a support ticket from the client centre or over at IPSBeyond. :)There is no technical support for 2.2 releases yet because it is not final and not recommended for live use. http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=229180This is the third release candidate release so please take a moment and read this entire announcement before downloading. As this is a RC release there may be bugs and issues with the software. Please report any issues using our bug tracker. Before reporting please first quickly check to see if anyone has already reported your issue.Technical support is not available for version 2.2 release candidates.Do not use this software on a public install. Wait for the final release for your public boards. If you wish to test the upgrade from 2.1.7 to 2.2 please do so on a copy of your database. Do not perform an upgrade on your live data. We will not be able to assist you if the upgrade fails. You will be able to upgrade from 2.2 RC 3 to future releases when available. In general, only download and participate in the release candidate testing if you are comfortable doing so.See BOLDyou can ask for user to user help in IPS Beyond

bfarber
I would recommend in your case waiting until 2.2 is final and asking IPS to run the upgrade for you. ;)
