Posted October 31, 200618 yr I have writed on the image. The dates on 2.2 are'nt always normal! You see; Month/Day/YearIt must be; Day/Month/YearNo?Your idea?
October 31, 200618 yr It depends on what your definition of normal is. In the US anyway, that date format is normal.
October 31, 200618 yr Date and Time Settings in the ACP allows you to change how dates are displayed, toggle 24-hour time, etc.
October 31, 200618 yr Long time formati have changed but it haven't changed for Profil...It don't change in "Date & Time Formats"
October 31, 200618 yr There isn't a control for this in the ACP. We're looking into it. In many countries, it's day/month/year, while in the US it's month/day/year.
October 31, 200618 yr I'm from France but it is always same month/day/year. (in TURKEY also)I can't change as day/month/year?

October 31, 200618 yr It seems odd to use mm/dd/yy when the rest of the world use dd/mm/yy - I think dd/mm is the internationally accepted format, though I could be wrong. To play it safe, why not make the default dd-mmm-yyyy for example today would be 31-Oct-2006
October 31, 200618 yr I avoid using short dates for this very reason, i'd stick to something like above or the full thing, i.e., 1st November, 2006.

November 1, 200618 yr The bug report you linked has nothing to do with this actual suggestion actually. :)

November 2, 200618 yr Uhh, someone beat me to it, just when I could've made a post that'd make me look some-what 'smart'.Anyway is the order that the 3 (day, month and year) settable in the ACP? If so, then - this really isn't a problem.

November 4, 200618 yr I DID read the whole topic, it would seem that I missed the part stating that there isn't a setting in the ACP.
November 5, 200618 yr In terms of internationally accepted formats, the closest we have is the ISO date format, of yyyy-mm-dd.I was just thinking the same thing... ;) I'm just glad the format isn't the double digit ones that confuse most i.e. yy/mm/dd or dd/mm/yy Those really screw things up when the data is essential (what is 03/04/06 anyway?).
