i saw that 2.2 uses a lot more nice features but it was really hard to understand how they work.
is there any way someone could write another documention for the developers among us, that would be very helpfull, just a quick overlook for each new feature ur adding, lets start by the new profile view which is now personal portal, the tab system work with file in the components_public/profile now i didnt know that till i saw a mod that add a new tab, will it be too hard to write some sort of guideline about the new functions/features and stuff your adding?! :shifty:

and anybody take a moment to think about making a universall mod installer just like michael did , but the one u would make will be an official one so mod authors could write mods alot easier, that is a great helpfull tool it doesnt have to do file edits, just what michael mod does to do the same and would appriciate it alot, i would use michael i just want to know if it is possible to make one that would be official and built in the software.

p.s
bfarber said he would make one when 2.2 comes out...

The 'mod installer' I'm talking about isn't a 'Universal Mod Installer' that you are thinking of. I was referring to a simple universal installation script that developers could use to facilitate installation processes. It will be an independent thing however.

ok but couldnt u inplent it into the system to work like mike's universall installer works, to be a built in ipb, so authors could write there mods according to that system u make officiall uniersall installer, and how about some sort of documention about the new functions and features for new ipb versions for the developers?

thanks again.
