Do these polls have the ability to limit how many choices a user can pick? For example, if I were to say, pick your top 4 favorite songs out of these 10, would IPB be able to do that?

If not, that should definitely be added.

4 is multiple choice.

They should add that tweak. Where someone could say pick 3 of the following, rather than pick all of the following which apply.

Maybe a private poll would also be a good idea.

Both a plublic and private poll would be an awesome addition. Maybe give multiple choice the option to select a min and max amount of votes, but I'm not sure how it would be done... So it's not that necessary. Although... I added multiple choice to 2.1 on my site (almost exactly the way it is now) and my moderators wanted this option as well...

I would like to bring this suggestion to the top again because I think it is a really good idea.

The guild I maintain the boards through wanted to be able to vote for Y number of candidates from X possible candidates. Well I was able to modify these forums to allow for number of choices, this worked with 2.1 but when trying to move forward to the latest version things the forums did not work properly for some reason, so I went back to a back up of 2.1 I had and not messed with it since.

If since installed the boards on a test server and hand moved all the data from one server to the other so I would not lose any users or their private information or their posts, but I have to figure out how I modified the forums originally to get this back. Not fun. Anyway, maybe I can take better notes this time and share them with the community and maybe Invision Power Services, Inc. can use my updates in a newer version of these forums.

I've asked for such an option for a long time, and I know there's a modification for IPB 1.3 but that one is way outdated, you can find that mod here: http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/f/1439

I've begun to look into making such a modification my self as noone seem to want to do it. I just doubt it'll be released anytime soon..

this would be a good thing to have.
