why has this feature been overlooked? I'd like to see the signatures be set ona per group basis.

max char for sig
allow img tag for sig
allow bbcode for sig
allow url tag for sig
etc

also, maybe allow admin to set remote avatars on a group basis as well. this will save us bandwidth and storage space.

Do you mean something like vBulletin 3.6.x has? People want the feature that merges members, a better promotions system (like the one vBulletin uses), now you want a usergroup signature permissions. Pretty soon you're claim about vBulletin being bloated won't hold up because IPB will have the same features

I'd be happy with "Maximum Characters", "Can use BBCode", "Can use Size, Colour, Font Codes", "Can use IMG BBCode", "Can use Smilies" and I guess "Maximum Image Size"

I want to be able to control how many links, lines of text, how many characters per line, number of images, size/px space. There is a mod for this for 2.1 and a good one to boot.

I would however like to see something like this standard in IPB itself as well as able to allow mods and admins to bypass these rules. As generally mods and admin will have more lead way on what they should be allow to have in signs over normal members.

A feature IPS should think about adding before final release, something that is long over due. If once again its past up I'll be force to wait for one to be made for 2.2 until I upgrade.

I thought there was a display signiture once per topic included in 2.2 beta1? (I can't find anything like this in the acp but I thought saw it listed in the feature list :ermm:
