Some hosts require users to insert adverts in every page, occasionally at both top and bottom of the forum page. SMF 1.1 has a mod to do this, will this feature be built into 2.2?

Second, has anyone tested 2.2's ability to cope with mandatory ads inserted by a web host, over which the user has no control as this seems to break most message boards of the php type.

if its mandortory i would say your not paying for the host and should look elsewhere that dont require such things

For the first one, you most definitely wont see it in IPB 2.2, which is feature complete. However, you can simply pop the advertisement code into the Board Header and Board Footer wrappers, which will appear on every page.

I can't say anything for the second unfortunately, I have only tested it on my company's servers.
