Restrict BBCode and auto link generation

Right now spammers can log on my forums and spam their crap using bbcode or plain http links. I can restrict who can use HTML by not only forum but also group. Why can't I control bbcode and http linking the same way?

This way admins can setup new member groups with no (or possibly limited) bbcode and linking privaleges. New users have to post however many posts we decide until they get moved to the full membership group. Most spammers just post the one spam post and move on, if the boards automatically rejected their BBCode posts and gave error messages saying new users aren't allowed to post links to other sites it would make spamming pretty much pointless on that board.

Would also be nice to have group upgrade criteria based on time as well as posts, for example new members have to make 2 posts and wait 10 days before being upgraded to full members with BBCode and link permissions.

It sounds like the ideal way to prevent spam to me, members with 0 posts or guests cannot post urls, if they do they get an error message: spam problem solved! :)

Permit standard members to only post in one forum, and in that forum do not permit bbcode. After they post 5 or 10 posts, have them automatically graduate to a "members+" group which is allowed to post everywhere in which the standard members group currently posts.

Rather not have to make legitimate members spam a "general" forum for X posts, would rather let them join and contribute where they want to right away. Legitimate members can contribute without the URL tag or auto linking
