sully
Im going to compile a list of things in this topic that I would like to comment on about IPB 2.2. Ill list bugs here also, but will post them on the Bug Tracker (just a bit of notice here to others to discuss it). I think this is a neater way instead of having a new topic per comment, but if staff would prefer a new topic for them -- I have no issues doing so. Just ask :)So lets get started!Rich Text & Standard Editor:- I wish there was an easier way to determine the Rich Text Editor from Standard Text Editor. It aint a big issue but the "switch" button doesnt show the current status. Yes, it can be guessed fairly easy but wouldnt be to bad to have it marked? :PRich Text Editor & Smileys:- If I manualy input the BBcode for a smiley, the code does not "parse" to the actual image. Where as if I click the smiley from the list, the BBCode is parsed to the smiley image. Can we get this working so if I enter the BBCode for any smiley by typing, it automaticly switches to the image? Input box switching:- The "tab" key (not an IPB Feature, the tab key is the key above your "Caps Lock" key on your Keyboard (in most cases) -- a key that, when pressed, moves the insertion point to the next tab marker) no longer brings you to the next input box when creating a new topic. So if I hit tab key from the topic title field, it brings me to the post content box (skipping the Topic Description). This happens in various input boxes, but never did happen in IPB v2.1xInsertion Point:- The insertion point (flashing vertical line, again, not an IPB Feature) doesnt work for topic title / description fields when Rich Text Editor is enabled. Basicaly, I cant type in either box when the Rich Text Editor is enabled.Attachments:- If I add an attachment, then go to "Manage Attachments" - the new dialog box that appears gives a few buttons which do various tasks. However, what would be handy is if the HTML "alt" tag was used for the image so when I hover my mouse over it, im told what the button does briefly.Unlink Text:- This feature doesnt seem to work at all. Iv pressed it and it doesnt do anything to any "linked" text. Am I missing out on something here?Field Lengths:- Id like to see topic titles and description fields not have such a long character limit. Easily adjustable, but still. And thats a wrap for tonights testing and commenting :P
MindTooth
Not to be rude in any way, but could really try to re-organize you post? Somewhat difficult to read the context of the various sentences.Birger :)

MindTooth
Thank you mate :D Much appreciated..Some of your listed bugs, I consider as some cosmetic-bugs. But I would think they correct them before final release.Birger :)

UBERHOST.NET
Great list, I'm all for each of them :)+1BTW, the Unlink Text does work (though I'm not sure how many people would ever use it).It changes this:[url=http://www.kewlceo.com]kewlceo.com[/url]To this: kewlceo.com
Gogf
I second the tab issue. It's quite annoying, but I'm sure it's just a minor bug which will be fixed before the final release :).
Zarel
Unlink Text:- This feature doesnt seem to work at all. Iv pressed it and it doesnt do anything to any "linked" text. Am I missing out on something here? You have to select the linked text first.

sully
Insertion Point:- The insertion point (flashing vertical line, again, not an IPB Feature) doesnt work for topic title / description fields when Rich Text Editor is enabled. Basicaly, I cant type in either box when the Rich Text Editor is enabled. If anyone else can reproduce this error, please say so here:-http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...mp;bug_cat_id=
Luke
The unlink issue: Try clearing your cache and see if it helps. If it still doesn't work, report it and tell us what browser, version, and OS you are using. The tab issue: That *should* be as simple as the tab order in the html. When you restructure/reorder your fields, it can be something easy to forget, but easy to fix.
