Zend encoding

Do I have to have a full Version of XEND or can I use the efaluation version of it to test IPB

I downloaded ioncube and installed without problems

I'd recommend IonCube since you just upload it and go, for the most part. It's a bigger file (10 MB vs. 4 MB,) but you don't need extra encoding software, like Zend.

^ what? you need to use the iconcube decoder to use it! zend runs fine automatically
although for some reason the files are corrupted?

There are both IonCube and Zend. What is the exact error you get?

this is when going to the main directory:

Fatal error: Corrupted encoded data detected in /data/members/paid/u/m/umbrella-online.net/htdocs/www/community2/sources/ipsclass.php on line 0

and this one on the install directory:

Fatal error: Unable to read 23640 bytes in /data/members/paid/u/m/umbrella-online.net/htdocs/www/community2/install/core/ipsclass.php on line 0

Did you upload the files in binary mode? If not, try that.

Not sure how to use Transmit, however if you have ssh on your hosting account you can use scp via the Mac terminal, then ASCII/binary just doesn't matter...although that may be a bit more complicated than just trying to make sure transmit is set to binary.

Perhaps I should just stop posting....
