after clicking on an emoticon..

I don't like how after you click on an emoticon, it highlights the emoticon text. To continue typing, I have to click off to make the cursor appear on the next position. >_<

trying it right now <_< and I can just keep typing

what browser do you use?

(I'm currently using Firefox)

FireFox 1.5.0.6. :(

If it bugs you mate, you could use the RTE instead.

i am using the RTE though.

Was anything decided about the smilie dropdown? I know many had the same fears as me, that it would look dreadful with more than the default smilies.

Same problem for me :) opera 9.02 final

 works fine for me (aol)

Happens to me on the RTE version 1.5.0.6

Click a smiley from the side panel, and the code for it "highlights" in the post. So you gotta click away from it to begin typing. Is a bit of a nusisnace. Also happens with the drop down box. Applies to all areas on the RTE -- not just smileys

If you have toggled on the rich text editor, then you should be getting the graphical smilies in the post, not the code. You cursor is placed to the right of the smiley where you can continue typing without clearing anything.

Same problem :(

won't know if this fixed yet until they fix the *new* bug with displayiing emoticons when clicked on.
