Guest
I don't know whether this is intentional but the personal statement on the profile page does not support bbcode. I think all entry text boxes should have the same editing facilities. :)
Κeith
I agree, and it's been 'bug reported' already. :DA lot of great minds out there.

Management Matt Posted September 20, 2006 Management Share Posted September 20, 2006 No, the personal statement and profile comments do not use BBcode. This is intentional, not least of all because the cramped space doesn't suit BBCode formatting - especially if people start posting images, etc.It also reduces the temptation to spam links and such on random profiles as they won't be parsed. Guest
can't you then just parse the ok bbcode like bold, underline, colorized, etc...
Quillz
can't you then just parse the ok bbcode like bold, underline, colorized, etc...I believe it was stated somewhere that the profile system is modular, so it shouldn't be too difficult to change the behavior. Couldn't it be set up where the "safe" BB Code tags don't count towards the character limit?

Κeith
Ok, so support for bbcode was not intended, but was the lack of passing the new comments through the bad word filter also intentional? :s
Management Charles Posted September 20, 2006 Management Share Posted September 20, 2006 Ok, so support for bbcode was not intended, but was the lack of passing the new comments through the bad word filter also intentional? :sThat would be a bug you should probably report.
