zurnik Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 It would be nice if IPB sends notification emails to admins when MySQL produces an error...
Dlf Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 That's silly, it's be nice in some cases, but would you want to get a e-mail when you mistype a SQL query?SELECT * FROM ib_members instead of: SELECT * FROM ibf_members
zurnik Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 That's silly, it's be nice in some cases, but would you want to get a e-mail when you mistype a SQL query?SELECT * FROM ib_members instead of: SELECT * FROM ibf_membersI mean when MySQL gives some errors such as "Can't connect to local MySQL server" or "some_someuser has reached maximum connetion blah blah" etc..Because, sometimes admins must open a support ticket on hosting for these issues in order to fix.. Me and my admins are working and we can't look at our board for hours during working-time.. But if we get emails when MySQL gets down, we can just care about it, everybody's mail clients are checking inbox every 5 minutes..That's why I wish e-mail notifications.
