Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
June 7, 200618 yr How about a way for admins to stop or suspend user subscriptions? I've had users subscribe to topics and then put vacation auto-responders on their e-mail address, which results in me getting e-mails from them everytime their subscribed topics get replies. It's very annoying. Suspending their account doesn't do anything. The auto-response messages keep coming.
September 17, 200618 yr You know, on this subject (funny it was bumped).I got one of those topic emails from a vb-run forum the other day, and in my quick scanning of the email, I accidentally clicked the unsubscribe link instead of the view this topic link. So when it redirected me back to the topic, I had to manually subscribe to it again. Quite irritating actually.
October 23, 200618 yr Any way I can unsubscribe a member from a topic, i'm getting loads of bounce messages and dont want to remove the membertaAndy
October 23, 200618 yr I agree that it should be an actual link, instead of just textual instructions.
March 10, 200915 yr I am not sure rct2dotcom, will check. I hope so... I am fed up members keep PM me and asking how to Unsubscribe from Topic
March 10, 200915 yr There is no link in the email itself yet, though there's no real reason not to I suppose. Admins can unsubscribe members from the member management page in the ACP Members can subscribe/unsubscribe from topics right from the topic view page.
March 10, 200915 yr Unsubscribing: -------------- You can unsubscribe at any time by logging into your control panel and clicking on the "Manage Watched Topics" link in the "Forums" tab. Nope No link :( Not very user friendly..
March 10, 200915 yr Version 3 is better than 2.3.6 is this respect. One can do the unsubscribe while in the forum. This was missing in 2.3.6.
March 10, 200915 yr Members can subscribe/unsubscribe from topics right from the topic view page. That's an improvement, and suggests that it should be easy to add a link in emails. I seem to remember that it was not possible in v2.3.6 because you unsubscribed through a 'form' in UserCP.
March 12, 200915 yr Please add a link to the email and also for PMs, include the subject in the body of the email.
March 13, 200915 yr Please add a link to the email and also for PMs, include the subject in the body of the email. I agree.
March 14, 200915 yr Please add a link to the email and also for PMs, include the subject in the body of the email. +1
