Ankit
The only thing I like about phpBB is its group system, where members can apply to join a group and group leaders can accept or reject them. Would something like this be possible?
Logan
It'd be cool if we could create (optionally) a few "custom fields" sort of like an application form for each group, so they have to fill them out upon replying and the admin can review the applications in the ACP and if they accept well the user is upgraded to the group they applied for. Definitely not a feature I'm too worried about having, but would be neat and useful in some cases.
ellawella
Very nice feature, but I'm not sure whether it's worth bundling this in as default. Best left to a mod.
Ben.
Perhaps as an option, maybe. I would have this, personally, as a mod though ;) --Ben.
bfarber
I personally see this as a modification...sounds like something more geared towards gaming sites/clans.
Dlf
I think I remember Matt saying something in the Pre-sales questions forum that this might be a feature of 3.0.0. {or something similar. </cant remember>.
