It wouldn't be worth the trouble. This has been discussed many times before, and it's just a bad thing to do.

A lot of confusion, like telling it to add above/below/replace line, but what if that line is already changed or isn't the correct line... there's just so many problems that could arrise.

The best thing they could do for this is implement a hooks system like vB where before each major function like posting a new topic, registering, logging in, etc.. etc.. it checks for code to run.

Even that I don't think it's required. File edits are fine.
