It's a joke don't worry, it's really easy to change your version number, IPS even teaches you how. Well how to remove it at least.

Most likely the next version will be 2.2 and will be at least a few more months I'd estimate. We have no firm release date as of yet. 3.0 is likely quite some time away. ;)
