Posted December 29, 200519 yr To keep people from maliciously spamming the board perhaps we could set a feature for GROUPS where we could specify the max number of posts a person can make in a 24 hour period, depending on the group they're in... thanks, Brad
December 29, 200519 yr Wouldn't have much use for most boards, and so should be a modification. If someone is a spammer, then you can mod queue them or prevent them from posting all together. What is needed is the ability to remove all a users posts.
January 1, 200619 yr What is needed is the ability to remove all a users posts. ACP > Management > Manage Members > {Find the Member Using the Search Tools} > Grey Drop Down > Delete ALL Member's Posts/Topics...
January 3, 200619 yr Would be nice to limit the number of post to certain forums (e.g. off topic forums) per day. i.e. I run a tech site that has an off topic current events forum. Some members spend the entire day in there which leads to flame wars. Limiting everyone posting in that forum to 4-5 post per day would help cool things off a bit. Mod-preview of the forum is one way to do this, but then the site moderators spend most of there time here.

September 28, 200618 yr Fantastic idea! It would be a really useful feature to keep spammers under control and to encourage the users to write meaningful posts.
