I have had a few people ask for this recently - I know at the moment it tells you the time and date of when the topic was posted and also tells you to hold down to edit the title with the new ajax feature. How easy would this be to code as a modification whilst its being thought about :)

Yes, vB has this - and I use it on every vB board I frequent - I love it.

It should be added into IPB as well, hense the suggestion.

lol, i have been thinking about this future myself. Even IdealBB has it. Now this just tells us how far away IPB is from making a good Online application.

Of course IPB has taken this turn. I realized this with my own experiences with IPB when I began to compile an extremely long bug/fix list.

It was advertised as being part of 2.1 when it was initially announced. And I swear that it was a part of IPB months ago. What happened to it? Perhaps I am wrong, but I thought I even saw it being used on this very forum.

Yes I'd love this too. :) I've used this feature on other forums and it's a shame it hasn't been added to IPB yet.

Database and bandwidth intensive to pull and push all the content.

Why can't they use AJAX to call when the mouse hovers over, instead of pre-loading all the information? Seems logical to me....

I personally don't see the point of this mod. IMO It's a waste of a programmer's time.

I would have thought it'd be stupid too, but when you use a board with it - it proves to be quite helpful.

Just have to finish up a better javascript to center the popup better.
