There was such an option in v1.3 - along all the other options of what is allowed for a moderator.

The feature somehow disappeared in 2.0 and it still is not available in 2.1 (and I must modify the code again...). Why was it removed? Why is this option kept only for administrators (and maybe super moderators?)?

mods can edit member's profile...

It depends on what rights have been given to Mods vs. Admins. On our board, only Admin can edit profiles....signed an Admin.
