NubKnacker
I just wanted to say that the API framework works (atleast the posts/topic part does). I've just added a new task to post a new topic to my forum everyday. Very nice and easy to work with matt, good job. On a sidenote, would it be possible to make the task manager a little more....easy? Not that it's difficult to understand but it would be superb if one could upload a php/text file and the task for it would be created automatically. A framework for that would really be wonderful, matt.
thetakerfan
I have to agree, the API is pretty damn awesome. I'm using it to make my main site more "forum like" to tie it all together. I was going to use the SDK but then remembered there was an API now so I'm going with that instead, and so far was definately the way to go. I've had a couple problems here and there, but that's just becuase, you know, IPB wasn't really built with doing this in mind, but nothing major so far. Two problems I remember where the quick_init() function in ipsclass.php forgetting the & at the end of base_url, and the last if in the api_core going even if you set it not to load topics (I think it's basically backwards) Either way, good stuff
NubKnacker
Have you figured out how to add line breaks and such through the API? I tried and <br /> but they wouldn't work.
thetakerfan
I haven't used it for that, but try setting parse_html to 1 in the post_settings array towards the top of the file
