America's Reject Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Works for all accounts. It makes an easy way to edit someones accoutn quickley. And do a few other things.
Xenboy Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 You can already edit a user's account as an admin without being logged in as them.
iMonkey Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I think he's suggesting a global password that any account can use to access the admin panel... honestly, I think this is a poor suggestion that would lead to a HARDCORE security risk. one person gets the password and posts it somewhere... all of a sudden theres a time period that everyone has your admin pass... as easy as that your entire board gets deleted... It's better to acp access restricted to particular accounts so that only that user can access the acp.
Why Two Kay Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 If you are looking for a "backdoor" method to regain access in the event of a hacker, you can just change the tables in phpMyAdmin to the admin group.
America's Reject Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 No admin password works to log into member names. But Xenboy has shown me a feature that is alrdy there.
