Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted September 27, 200519 yr I would like to suggest that instead of the sectons of the admin panel that a user cannot access be not displayed rather than greyed out. Or at least a choosable option between hidden and greyed out
September 27, 200519 yr Yep, this is very much needed and in my opinion should have been like this from the word go. +1
September 28, 200519 yr Yep, this is very much needed and in my opinion should have been like this from the word go. +1 Agreed, although I have an open relationship with my fellow admins, I still don't want them to know all the extra features I have.
September 29, 200519 yr i was thinking this the other day but I believe that would require another query to check permissions (rather than query after clicking the link). Still a good idea.

October 11, 200519 yr I know it's not the same as the origional topic but I wanted to add a suggestion. Instead of having a default section that shows on the right when you click a tab, could it be made to show a sort of welcome screen for that tab? Because currently, if they're allowed a certain part of that tab, but not the part that shows up by default when clicking the tab, they get an access denied message when clicking the tab, even though they have access to sections within that tab.
October 13, 200519 yr I was thinking about the same when first tried the new ACP. My vote for this suggestion.
