Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Yesterday at 02:04 PM
Guardian2 Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 The description should be wrapped down, not appended to the same line as the topic title. Those using lower screen resolutions suffer because of it. By appending it, the title bar is stretched to accomodate, and that forces a horizontal scroll bar. IMHO
Why Two Kay Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Look at this test topic: http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=191615 It's a problem if people used the maximum, as it causes it to scroll on my 1386X1024 resolution. I believe it should be an option in the Admin CP, as some forums dont have many long topic titles.
Quillz Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 I just flat out remove the topic description from the topic view, since it's pretty useless there, in my opinion.
krocheck Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Either move it or get rid of it. That's my opinion! Keith
//Nathan Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I believe Description should be dropped a line as well, and in a smaller font size. It looks tacky with the comma, as some descriptions aren't intended to be read that way. The Description feature is rather sloppy to begin with. It wouldn't be a huge loss if it were to disappear altogether. Nothing should ever be stretched to force a horizontal scroll bar, period. That's just tacky. IPB should always force a break rather than scrolling.
