This would make an interesting little feature to keep visitors on your site longer, as well as a bit of history for members. It would work great as an ssi.php feature so you could have it on your site home page (or Portal if thats what you use). Go to the BBC news site and you'll see an 'on this day in history'. Go to many newspaper sites and you'll find similar things.
