Mod Hack Skin
I think you get my point: SCRAP THE WARNING SYSTEM, WE NEED A BAN BUTTON. And I'm 100% sure the majority agrees with me. Right now, the only way to TRULY BAN SOMEONE (not suspend) is with the aid of an unstable mod at invisionize that grants Moderators limited access to the AdminCP, so they can move the selected individual into the "Banned" group they've set up. IPB can't not know this... It's just not possible.
Shyatic
I agree the warning system does need an overhaul... it never worked very well imho.
bradl
Even though it would probably be abused as much as used, I still would love a one-touch ban button. For me it's never unruly board memebers, it's always been spammers that show up and leave wildly off-topic spam spread across multiple forums. rt
Yup, this would be a nice feature - easier for the team over at Usavio(licensed ofc)
andrew_wallasey
Im in agreement the warning system could definately do with an overhaul. A button to ban someone next to PM, etc would be a good idea :)
shakerz
Something that would be neat is if you could get a automatic suspension for x days when the warnings reached 100% and have it reset to 0 after the suspension. And also have a task that could remove warnings older than x days.
bradl
I don't really get warnings and suspensions, I guess. Perhaps because I allow guest posting in most of the forums. Half the time even registered members forget to log in before posting. So suspending them would do nothing I think. Why do people not stay logged in, anyway? I only ever log out to test a new login :)
bmn
I say in between the "^top" button and the "edit" button, there should be a listbox presenting options for doing anything to members, including changing their rank, suspending them, etc.
-Strider-
@ bradl, if you stay logged in until the next time you visit, it doesnt give you the option to logout, it just shows a banned page (or whatever they are permitted to view) on a side note though - this is easy to get rid of via clearing the cookies
