RavenRaz Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 Often it is necessary to ban an IP when you ban a username to prevent the person simply making a new account and returning to the board. Its great that username bans expire automatically but then you have to remember to unban the IP address (and find out which IP it was in the ban filters). It would be great if an option to IP ban could be added to the Warn/ban system and suspend system in admin CP so they are banned and expired at the same time as the username. Obviously this should be flexible enough to allow you to select which IP or IP ranges you want to ban. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
Jasonawojo Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 Yeah, I thought this feature already existed. Would be a good idea for sure ;)
gusto5 Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 i second this. That would be totally effective, especially those who post to host, where members cant get on again till the next day. i second this
mrbuzz Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Definitely! Also I would love to see ranged IP's or /xx CIDR types, rather than simply wildcards.
