Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted October 14, 200420 yr I run a board (1.3.1) in which many users post pictures. It's fun and useful but the risk of encountering abuses always occurs, and the whole board turns to a few users' pic gallery and to a waste of webspace. It would be great to find out a way to limit each user's permission to upload a pre-defined number of uploads per day, or even better, per topic. Would this be possible at all?
October 14, 200420 yr You could always lower the limit of the size of the post, that *might* limit the uploads per post. EDIT: Go into the member groups and then change the max size per file in a post. See if that (and perhaps the max size of the post) combined help with what you want to do. :)

Good idea! I would also like a Posts Per Day limit, as some spammers need a (maybe not too limiting, but still limited) "limit". So say there would be a specific forum that could bypass the limit but other ones (like off topic) could have a max of say 20 posts per day or something.
