OK, maybe is little soon, but I heard something that new features will be included in 3.1.0 version. My first suggestion: This could by unavailable to guests. They really do not need to know what are regular members doing on board and we save some queries.

Because this has been asked over and over and over again, and we really don't need any more of these topics in our feature suggestions forum, I'm posting this one pinned topic so everyone can see it. Q: When will IPB3 be released? A: IPB3 is expected to be released, in final version, by Q4 (that means, before December 31, 2008). Source: http://forums.invisionpower.com/blog/ips_n...?showentry=2332 Q: What features will IPB3 have? A: Any features we've been authorized by management to discuss will be posted in our blog. We will be posting regular updates, and intend to start putting out updates a bit quicker in our blog shortly, but if it hasn't been announced there,…

I opened this topic in order to make a list of features removed from version 3.1.4., in the new version 3.2 I hate this because 3.1.4 has some features that are very useful and now we have to find hooks doing those. One of this is status online/offline of the members in topics. You can find the hook here Everyone can contribut to this list.

Hi Everyone, I am quite frustrated at the moment, because unlike any software I have used before, the rankings for any threads being created are just not static. I'll give you an example. If you have a WP Blog, created a thread, then it gets indexed, and search engines will position the page in the SERPS. Ok great, you think, are although you know the Google dance will affect things now and again, you pretty much know that the thread will be almost static. Now, with the IPBoard software, forget the Google dance, it has almost become the IPB dance. For example, a thread will be created, it will get indexed, and stay there for a few days, and if there is a tag…

With 3.2 available for testing, what do you all think of it?

Hey! Fantastic news about Invision 3.0 developments!...I'm absolutely over the moon that you are including Search Engine Friendly URL's as standard. Absolutely fantastic. It will be very interested to see what else you have planned, and if any suggestions members have made will be taken on board. Much like you have done for previous versions of IPS Products, are you planning Video Previews over the coming weeks/months? :) Just to keep us salivating.. :D

IPB3 Beta 4 1 2 3 4 9

Playing around with my board for the past few weeks, I'm not finding all to many bugs or issues that are 'big problems' - Do we need to go to beta 4? Or can it go to final so I can start my live board? No attacks people :P I'm asking an honest question, I just want to install the board so it won't expire and I can start building content and open them up for the world to start contributing to the boards on my site. Or maybe make Beta 4 upgradeable, that would make me a happy camper too :D

I have been using Invision software now for over 10 years for my community, and in that time the level of service as declined in the last 3 or 4 years. I now feel this latest issue is a step too far, and I don't think I am being unreasonable to expect more from the software provider, afterall, you have made hundreds of pounds off me in the years I have been a customer. After looking at my site via Google today after a user highlighted something to me, I noticed that our domain was being listed by Google as being compromised. When I looked further, it seems somehow a Russian website was being hosted from within the forum software via 'lofiversion/board' and since D…

Introducing Spam Monitoring Service Just read this and it sounds like a really good idea, that you can enable or disable if you choose to. I am sure this is going to be a great benefit to forum administrators and am looking forward to seeing this in action

... unless you guys rise to the play. I'm sure most of the people here, however long their boards have been running are feeling a real pinch from Facebook and Twitter. ... and I'm not saying it's right. Twitter is only useful as a tool to raise awareness, but it has made the internet surfer lazy and acquiesce to the notion that their broadcasts are limited to 140 characters. This is a plus for IP.Board and the forum because the functionalities provide much more freedom in their scope, but the forums still losing the battle. Incidentally my forum is very new. Had I set it up 10 years ago, it would be a bustling community I'm sure, but now in 2012 it's a real struggle…

Why did you remove direct CSS editing??? The entire suite is full of CSS errors anyway - and now you're complicating any improvement.... This version is absolute bullfaeces... No performance improvement, but some absolute crap you've done... I am so disappointed that I don't know if I will continue to be client...

Just wondering if there is any chance of this being implemented. I know we knocked this subject about ages ago but still think its important to address in the light of this modernization of the software. Its all about giving members a choice, even a simple one, (do i want non friends to be able to see my profile page). Even the " its good to share everything, privacy sucks" facebook, allows this option.. Any hope at all for this very important feature being built in this time

Hi, I'M not eligible to comment on the Main topic of the new 3.4 SEO improvements. so i leave the feedback here with more specific and targeted suggestion. The new URL structure is 3.4 are: it will be more nice and relevant and can getting high rank in SEs if the URL new structure will be. instead using "topic" word in URLS make this word very higher and rich keyword for any IP.Board site. so our natural keyword actually low-down due to these few keywords that showing in every topic, forums, profile urls. and the same pattern use for forum and profile. instead using structure that called the word "forum" and "user" Use simple high and only useful…

Sorry, I am forced by IPS to start a new topic, since they closed all other topics regarding the new EU cookie law. This is a feedback forum, So I am giving you my feedback. Facts: 1. There is a law in the entire European Union that requires to inform your visitor about cookies, before ANY tracking cookie is being written to the visitor. You can turn this left, right upside down, but this is the law. No discussion about that. There are no other interpretations of this law. 2. There is a Dutch law, that takes this even a step further and requires you to specifically ask for PERMISSION before writing any tracking cookie to the visitor. The European Union is…
