I have a member who is getting a "banned" message. His account is not locked or restricted in any way. He sent me a screen shot. When I log in as him I do not have a problem. Any guesses?

I am using the grid view for forums but i feel it looks a bit boring What i want, is to add an image to each forum. I've downloaded a plug in that allows me to put a cover image to each forum, but that is only a banner when i view the actual forum (no image in grid view) The closest i could get, was to add an image in the description for each forum. This might work, even though i am not sure how to get it right. On the other hand, it looks strange in the actual forum view. Do you have any good sugestions to this?

Hi fellow Pages users, Just upgrading one of my communities to 4.2.2 which uses Pages. I only have a few Blocks in Pages which survived the upgrade, the ones I have created myself are fairly obvious even to me, but some which I never created myself I'm unsure if I still need. I think they may be from the original IP.Content era. I'm unsure about removing them in case I break functionality. Does anyone know which blocks come as standard on a brand new Pages install, please? If it helps, here's a screenshot of what is currently listed. Many thanks.

Hi, We are really struggling to get Tapatalk to work on IPS4 - It asks to get the Tapatalk file and 'upload it to the root of your forum system'. This is something we didn't need to do on 3.4 so I would appreciate it if someone can help us get the file in the right place so the plugin will work correctly. Many Thanks in advance.

Hi there, As the title implies, I would like to know what you use for backing up your website. I was using codeguard and thought it was good till I needed to restore my website after something broke and realize that the database was totally out of date, I was missing more then a week. It was suppose to backup every day. What do you use?

Just wondering if there is a way to show all hidden topics on a board or within a specific sub-forum? We removed a user with a long history and accidentally ticked the "hide topics" checkbox in the process. All their posts show up as Guest now which is fine, but I'd like a quick way of showing all hidden topics so that I can reactivate them.

I searched and couldn't find a topic covering this, though I think I've seen one before. Some of my users are reporting that they regularly get double notifications of some common (and old) topics. This isn't a result of a user quoting them or mentioning them; they just "follow" the topic and get the notification when someone replies. Here's what one looks like: You can see there that "djake" replied, and this user got two notifications with the same timestamp. I looked in core_follow and don't see anything out of whack - the one user has one entry in the table for this particular topic. I'm not sure what's going on. Any ideas? Anyone else seen th…

I don't know why, after upgrading to version 4.2, there are a few topics where my board's members posts must now be approved by moderators... while they can post elsewhere without restrictions. The stream starts from the beginning of the month. Is there anyway to stream actual upcoming events in the stream?? Today is August 8th, and when you go to stream, you have to scroll down to get today's events.

I connected my account with Facebook acount because I want to use Social media promotion. But I don't understand this: What Facebook permisison? How? Where? That says I should have a section in the ModCP called "Deleted Content". My modcp shows no such thing. I've properly (I believe) set my setting to 18 days here: So what else is there to set/change? Why isn't the thing showing up in my ModCP? I just deleted some posts, and I'm not sure where they are. They're still in the database, with a "-2" value in the "queued" column.

I really like how you can vote up and down questions using the questions layout of forums. I am looking for something similar to that but instead of questions, it would be one for Ideas and Requests. Where a member can post an idea/request and other members can comment on it and vote up and down that idea. How do I get that accomplished? Right now I am just using the questions forum but the wording is very confusing to users because these are not questions they are asking, they are recommendations.

Hello ! I decided to create a mirror board for tests (upgrade, modification,..) : - I created a new account on my server using WHM and I used ssh to scp all the files from my account to the mirror/test account. - As for the database, I used mysqldump and mysql, under ssh too. The problem is I forgot to worry about permissions and I ended up with nearly all files in the new account's directory belonging to root. I used chown command to change this...
