I've attached a video which is 5 minutes long (apologies). I want to put this to the forum members as I believe this to be a serious bug in the software. I've just (about too) log a client critical ticket, as new posts are not appearing. I have new posts within the bug tracker on our site which are not appearing but clear from notifications that new replies have been made. We have serious issues with response times and MySQL gone away errors, I'm no expert and I'm not disputing what IPS are saying but I'am questioning it. I thought there was a feature in 3.4.x that allowed you to add/embed a gallery album into an article. I am not seeing this feature or a way to do this. Am I missing it or has the feature not beed added or was it removed?

Hi all, I just bought the software with all apps except downloads, and am looking to install 4.0.3, but I'm confused about the uploading of files. The upload instructions say: If you are installing IP.Nexus or IP.Converge, you must ensure your FTP client is set to upload files in binary mode before uploading. So what does that mean for the general upload of the site? Should I just upload the whole thing in auto mode? Or binary for certain subfolders? I am hosting the IPS suite on my own VPS, not using cloud. Thanks for any help.

Afternoon gents, So after browsing the capabilities of my website I came before a module known is "pages" and I was quite baffled at the features it offered. Looking at it by default it appeared as if it shows all the recent threads that were created on my website. However after looking through it extensively I also discovered articles and wasn't clear on the motives within this module. Am I able to create articles on my website and link them to pages? My overall goal is that I'd like to display updates and news on an entirely separate page instead of using the forums for that. You could say that it's a dedicated blog. Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

On 3.4.x we could simply go to the ACP and move the hook up/down where we wanted the sidebar ad placed in comparison to the other blocks. However, I cannot find a setting on IP4 to do something similar. When sidebar ads are shown they are right at the top, we would rather move the sidebar ad down towards the middle or bottom of the sidebar, or would it just be easier to make a custom html block, set the permissions on it and place the block where I want? Global Sidebars - where is the settings for this? I cannot find Global sidebar settings anymore in 4.0.2. Thank you in advance for your help!

...if so, do you have issues with editor? For me, half of the time the editor will either not load, or won't let you type and you have to reload the page. It even happens on desktop sometimes even though it's much less noticeable.

Friendly Urls do not seem to be working properly, in all cases. For example it works fine and redirects to the correct topic when i use these BUT when trying to access this way, it just goes back to homepage and doesn't redirect to the topic. ^Notice there is no ? in index.php, if you add a ? then it redirects fine This is very important for me because all the urls are indexed without the ? (example.com/index.php/topic/7427-topicname/) in Google index and when you access the site through google index, it redirects to the homepage instead of the topic so i will end up losing rank for all the topics!!. Tried to modify htaccess script (that IPS4 provides) to fix this and …

I created a test machine to test the 4.0.x upgrade and ran into something which I don't know is a bug or some configuration somewhere. On my production site, I see a post with that contains this string: £350, however in the upgraded test area it is £350 and I am not sure which process may have caused that. I suspect it's not the upgrade, but any help with the cause would be great.

I want dropdown fields where members select a location, but I want the kind when you select Country, and in the box under it, the states for that country appear. How do you do this? It is pretty common but can't see how. Thanks

Hi there I am on a Cloud-Community, and have been logging into the ACP on my forum to see this message - which has been there for a while. Now, I have read through all the guides on the Main Website about upgrading, and assume I have to log into the Client Area on the Main IPB Website and press a button there to start the upgrade process. However, that button doesn't seem to exist in the way it seems to in the guide, and I can't find it anywhere else. Now, despite the distinct possibility of looking like an absolute idiot by posting this, how do I upgrade my site to 3.4.7, and/ or IPB 4 when the time comes?

Hallo, when i clear cookies history from my browser, when i visit my site not loading with first time, i must renew the link, after that alls ok until clear cookies, the problem is in first visit, what is wrong? Before you ask, yes, I've submitted a support request. I can only assume that staff are very busy following the release of IPS4 because I get one reply every 2 days and it still isn't sorted, and I submitted the request last Saturday. I've created a Home page using IP.Content (purchased just a week ago). Using 'Manage Blocks' I added the block 'Customisable Topic Feed' but didn't like it, so I removed the block and clicked 'Finish Editing'. Now, no matter how many times I remove the block and finish editing when the page is refreshed the block reappears. I'm keen to get the Home page finished and usable, but until this problem is sorted I'm stuck. Any advice you can offer…
