In the old 3.X software we were able to manually create RSS feeds, including top-level forum RSS feeds. The new setup makes RSS feeds for each forum room as well as categories, but the category feed is wonky and shows posts from 2011 instead of the most recent. So I'm wondering if anyone knows how to possible fix the category RSS feed and even better yet, can we add a top-level forum RSS feed?

Hi, i'm a new user of the IPB Suite and currently only have the Forum. I have seen alot of fancy Hooks and Addons around the marketplace that I would find useful for my board, but after I upload the plugin as an XML file and it gets listed under "Plugins" it says it is Enabled. But I am not able to see the hooks or manage them anywhere on my site? Am I missing something? Plugins I cant get to work are : Latest Registered Members or New Members Today.I also hear alot of talk about widgets and blocks, where do I find this?

I added a feed to my gallery at the top of all index pages, but I'm not happy with the size. It's too large for my taste. Is there some php code I can add to control the size of the thumbnails?

Hi guys I just got a report of my 3.4.8 board that doing links with google-maps isn't always working For example: https://www.google.at/maps/place/50°53'06.6"N+7°03'33.2"E/@50.8851662,7.0592222,15z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0 => this URL get's cut off after https://www.google.at/maps/place/50° when doing a link) Is there a possibility to fix this? (I remember something similar with youtube embeds as they changed something, we had to adapt the wildcards somewhere in BBcode - is there something like this for links and there is an escape happening where it shouldn't ? thanks in advance TOM

I know IP Content had the ability to bridge/link comments made on an article to a topic (and even the ability to automatically create a topic for an article), does IP Pages still have this option? if so, where can I turn it on??

So in the AdminCP>System<Security There are a few things to enable or address. Should I enable the two suggested settings now, even though I'm not done editing the website? I contacted my hosting company about the PHP elements suggested and they responded with this: Disable Dangerous PHP Functions Unfortunately I have no way to disable specific php functions, there is however mod_security rules in place to help protect against vulnerabilities that may happen for some of all of those cases. So I'm a bit rusty on HTML/CSS & new to this platform, so I apologize that this is going to seem extremely newbish of me But when I'm uploading images into my directory to then use in custom CSS, what folder do I want to upload them to inside of the IPS directory? And when I want to add custom CSS, for things such as adding an image to the Main body, which file should I edit/add this custom CSS to, or should I just create a new one for the custom things I'd like to customize? So basically my featured topic section should have a grid of images such as this: But its currently looking like this: It's also creating the same effect when I'm editing a post: Any idea whats causing this to happen or how i can fix it? Hello, I've sent in a support ticket outlining this in detail. However, it doesn't seem like the support staff really read my email so I'm posting it here. Hopefully I can get help faster here. I have an elearning course and use amember to protect it. They offer a plugin to integrate invision 3.0 with amember for SSO. I had asked if that would work with the cloud version and saw in the forums that you can make SSO work with cloud. So I bought a cloud package and spent about a day customizing it. Hello, I am using IPB 4x and Pages.. I am trying to create a custom form that will allow people to apply to join my gaming clan. I have created a recruitment database with the following fields. 4.0.13 has caused a lot of issues. I cannot edit existing products and have the headings change to reflect the change.... So...... just tried to ADD a new product... (My intention is to add new product description etc to replace the broken ones, then delete the broken ones) It seems Nexus is broken as I can only add description, and image for New Products and nothing else... such as add price etc.... Client Support have not told me anything... They have all the access details, yet all I get is a notice in the backend telling me that its being looked at 3 days and no idea of whats going on as they are just not telling me anything..... I paid for ... what?

I'm currently running some testing through Internet Explorer 8 and I'm finding 2 console errors causing the the js to break. One being an 'Expected Identifier' in root_framework.js and 'ips.controller is null or not an object' in global_global_core.js. I have of course not modified these files. I can post exactly where the error is in the files but I was wondering first if there was something obvious that had to be enabled/disabled debug-wise to get it to play nicely with IE8. If not has anybody had issues like this before?

I'm using the 4.0 suite now and I'm not seeing an option to offset the first couple of articles in a feed. Anyone know why this was removed? And, more importantly, anyone know how to add an offset?

Just switched to a new webserver on a new host and I'm trying to enable caching. I originally started out with XCache since it was compatible with the most versions of PHP, but found reports saying that it doesn't install correctly through easyapache on cPanel. So I removed it an enabled eAccelerator, everything compiled fine and ran without any errors. When I login the admin cp, and goto the data storage, all the caching options are disabled as if they're not installed. I even tried restarted the apache service, and no change. Anyone have any ideas as to why all of my caching options are disabled, or what I can do to enable at least one of them? Not really picky on which…

I am getting the following error during the upgrade process -- retry does nothing but does give me a "Continue" but I am afraid if I continue something will go wrong: Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes (EDITED)/forums/applications/core/sources/Setup/Upgrade.php::655(NOTE: "(EDITED)" above is simply me removing my structure information)

Hi there, I developed an app which works fine for logged in members. However, when I try to load the app as a guest, I get the following error: Error code: 2S100/2. Which adds a text saying that the app is not enabled for guests. This is the first app I developed with this weird behaviour, my other apps work fine. Do you have an idea of what could be happening here? How can I give my guests rights to load this app? Example url: http://www.fmsite.net/pages/descargar-football-manager-2015/ This works fine when logged in. Regards, Ibai
