Trying to create a Custom Block, using the Image Feed plugin from the Gallery. When I use the "default" Image Feed on my homepage it works great. When I try and use a Custom Block it does not work at all. I am sure it is not the settings either, all seems fine. (see attached)

As anyone been able to wrangle CKEditor to take pasted content from (for example) another site and strip the inline styling like font-family but not HTML elements like strong, em, table, etc? Paste as plain text is a little too destructive sometimes.

Hello, When I enable Developer Mode, my ACP just doesn't really work anymore. All of the javascript is loaded through HTTP for some reason and is blocked by Chrome or Safari, because they deem it to be insecure content. When Developer Mode is disabled, javascript is loaded through HTTPS and everything is fine. Any idea what is going on? This is a new installation I recently made. All I've done was create a new skin and play with it, but that's not even the skin I'm using in the ACP. I'm using 4.1.8.1 with the corresponding developer tools (I already had this issue with 4.1.7).

So was looking at using pages to be used as a Staff Application, but have separate fields for each question. Noticed it allows only 1 content entry, Was curious if there was a way to allow multiple content entries, to make it more like a form. ;;; when having it post to a forum when the record is created it somewhat looks okay., but not when viewing the record.

Trying to get the #elUserNav details (log in/signup and the member details etc) that show up when in the forum/blog/gallery etc to do same on an external web page (reason is that have forum etc in sub domain and have a separate index.php file in web site root and am looking to have the member details etc show on the index.php page but so far not had any luck) Trying to get this: on an external page here Every time I click the sign in I get the usual drop down box to enter username password but after entering details and click sign in button I get taken to the forum log in page instead of being logged in Hope the above makes sense

When a user signs in the first time with a Login Handler then the "Complete Your Profile" page appears (/register/&do=complete). It only shows the field to enter the email address or the display name. But I would like that the page appears more like the registration page which will also show profile information with the "Show on registration page?" flag enabled. Is this possible or is there a plugin?

Ok, I have installed a rank system, and as my board is about military history, it's army ranks. (Yeah I know.;)) So, members can go from private lance corporal corporal sergeant staff sergeant by amount of posts. However, I want them to not be able to go further unless they buy a premium membership, and once they do, they go on to: 2nd lieutenant lieutenant captain etc. The thing is, do I set up a group called: other ranks for the first lot and then officers fort the second lot? and then how do I stop the staff sergeant's been promoted to the nest rank based on posts? I've had this issue a while now. But embedded Facebook posts and video sometimes show up as a small percentage strip where you can't see the whole post or video. [[Template core/front/streams/streamItems is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] I've disabled plugins, run the default theme (mine is just a child with custom.css changes), and disabled all other apps. This error continues to show itself. My Activity Stream was showing an error page, but at least that now works (I don't know why). There's little to nothing in my httpd error log. My database is healthy. I even deleted and edited the streamItems template. I can't leave much text in there before the error appears. (I've since reverted it, of course.) I our forums we have it set up so that when users first registered they are placed into the "Members" group, but after 1 day the are automatically promoted to "Full Members". For some reason the Group Promotion setting under Group Settings does not seem to be promoting users. Is there another setting that I've missed or is something else going on?

Dear All I know that I can sort the order of topics within a forum either by date, title etc However, is it possible to sort the posts in a topic by another order other than time? For example:- Topic AAA has three replies A, B & C The replies are showing as A, the oldest first, then B, then C the newest reply. Can I sort them (either through the forum software or an add on) so they show as C then A then B? Many thanks Bill

Is there anyway to set the forum icon per theme? It seems the icon is set when you create the forum and its the same on all themes. What I'd like to know is if there is a way to set an icon per theme and how to do it. I want to give my users different themes but the one that i set wont match the new theme I'm creating. Where is the setting 'Can Access Admin CP' to be found in IPB4? We have a couple of user groups who aren't administrators but who have access to AdminCP for maintenance tasks. If I make a copy of the Administrators group and move users into it, they lose AdminCP permissions etc. In 3.4 there was a tickbox but I can't find it now...

Hi, I found on a Russian forum a plugin to hide links for non-registered members. I attached it. I translated it using Google Translate (text data) and installed it. It works (I actually modified a regular expression to work) BUT it crashes Private Messaging and some other stuff. Can someone help me? Can anyone see a problem? Hi ! I installed a 3x verison of IPB and performed a migration from SMF, next I upgrade to 4x. For any reason some of the topics I imported got stucked in the category forum instead of the forum. As they can be found by a simple search, when you want to access them you get this error: You dont have permission to view this: error code: 2F173/K any way of get this topics to life ? kind regards. Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find the topic. A few months ago there was a topic which suggested that Paypal subscriptions created in 3.4.x would no longer be compatible with 4.x due to new API's used by Paypal and Commerce. In previous 3.x versions of the software, I used to be able to import RSS feeds and truncate the length of the imported posts. I need a way to do this again. I want to be able to import a RSS feed and have it post the articles from that feed as individual topics in a specific forum by a specific user account. The software still can do this...... Then I want the content posted to be truncated to just a few characters, specifically the title of the article, and have a link to view the full article on the author's website.
