I've noticed that AdSense banners break responsive themes. The normal small adverts work fine on mobile, but the banners stretch the screen too far. I've tested this not only on my site but an IPS 3 site, as well as on other phones besides my own, and even by zooming in on Google Chrome (depending on your screen size, at around 200% ish your browser will become like a mobile browser if the website you are on has a responsive design). Some examples of this breaking are: The banner stretches beyond the limit of the responsive theme, so the size of the page is adjusted. We are using IPB4 and would like to find members that keep changing IP addresses but within the same subnet. For example they will begin posting using 12.34.56.100, get banned, and then re-register using 12.34.56.200. My question is, how can we find all members using an IP wildcard search such as 12.34.56.*? Using 12.34.56.* as the search term does not appear to work.

We want to present all our members with a new board policy, that they need to agree with upon logging back in. Is there a way to present them with the new rules after a forum-wide forced log-out? I haven't been able to find something like that yet. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

When using the IPB4 demo board I noticed somewhere in the acp you could change what editor (for people making posts) and you could also add custom buttons to the editors tool bar. I've hunted all around the acp in my new IPB 4 install and cant find it? Any idea where it's hiding from me!? lol Thanks

Is there a way to make for members to display youtube videos in the gallery instead of uploading videos? So they could just enter the youtube link instead of choosing a file to upload? We don't really want videos uploaded to our server, and youtube, well, it just works. If it's possible, we'd also like it if it could be configured in the acp that for the video category that we would create, we could select url's only, so files could not be uploaded. Or maybe it could be done with the downloads app? Same thing as above, but members could only upload/enter a url, not a file

So the mad emoticon is now showing up on my chat and the emoji looks squished. Is anyone else experiencing this on their forum? As you can see by the attached image. All of the other emoticons seem fine. And for the record I haven't modified any of the default emoticons. And the emoticons seem to be working on forum threads, so is this a bug? or is there is a problem with my IP.Chat?

Loving the new IPS 4, as are most of our members. One thing I've been asked is if the forum is compatible with emojes (spelling?), those wee funny faces on mobile phones. I know we have the smileys but was just wondering if it's an option? Also, is it possible to have "back to top" button on the forum? This would be especially handy for people browsing via mobile phones. Would be superb if that can be done. Dave

It's been suggested before to enable full SSL support for the AdminCP, but I'd like to take things a step further with my own suggestion. I would like to have the option to enable SSL everywhere on IP.Board. Not just on login pages, not just the ACP, but give users the option to use SSL globally, similar to the manner sites like Facebook do. Users would be able change this setting through their account settings, giving them the option to enable or disable global SSL this way, but still letting the admin force SSL on login pages. SSL would first need to be enabled and set up by the boards administrator, of course.

I've just started doing a conversation from Xenforo, but the converter seems really slow. I've been looking at the database and it seems to be converting about 1 member per minute, at this rate it will take forever, have I done something wrong? Also what do "follow_missing_member" and "follow_missing_rel_info_orphaned" mean in the error log?

Hello, we are evaluating different caching mechanism with IP.Board 4.1.x. Thus we installed Redis 3.0.6 from here: http://redis.io/download Redis-server is up and listening on default port, but we seem to miss an appropriate PHP module for Redis: Redis In order to use this method, the Redis extension must be installed on your server. The ACP option is still grayed out and I am asking which "Redis extension" is missing? Thanks, Thomas

Many of my members are reporting that they are not able to stay logged in. When having to sign in again after a period of inactivity, they are prompted (required) to do a password reset. This is happening over and over for some. I have had them check their browser, make sure that cookies are active, made sure there was no auto-fill of incorrect password, etc. I'm not sure what can be done about this. Any ideas, has anyone else had this problem?

Or just all topics in reverse order, based on start date, not last reply. This is something i wrote a webpage for for my moderators to use to keep an eye on new content. However I wondered if it is possible to do it with the stream tools in the new one. Currently however I am either doing it wrong, or you have to have posting activity too.

OK, getting frustrated. I tried to split a topic from page 7 to the end of page 10, but when I selected one post and clicked split, it only moved that one post. When I selected multiple posts, it looks like it will only merge those posts together in to one post (?) and allow me to put a final comment. When I selected move, it will move the whole thread. So what's the correct way to split a topic in to 2 from the point it went OT?

Hello, I've just upgraded v2.2 -> v3.4 -> 4.1.8 Despite sticking a "hide until reply" plugin on I found i am seeing tags that say [/hide_me] whereas checking my v2 database for the same post they were [/hide] Does part of the conversion process change these tags in posts? I think I have 2 options: 1) regex change it on the db 2) import another copy of the plugin which has the "new" tags.

While I have successful in integrating facebook and twitter, google account login gives an error. The error appears at final stage of login. So i have been setting up some awards for our new website @-RAW- and have encountered a problem. When we enable an award after creating the rule to automatically assign the award based on conditions it spams the award multiple times to the player. Why is that? Has anybody else experienced this? I only want it to give the award once. Thanks Rob
