Validating: Force User to Change Email Address 1.0.3

This plugin will force member to confirm email address by setting them as a validating member to change their email. This is not an automated process for bounced emails. Links will be added in:

  • Profile
  • Profile card (when you hover a member link)
  • Admin CP profile to set the member as validating

Only ADMINs with no restriction to edit members on ACP  will be able to use the resource in front-end.

 

Setting:

  • REQUIRED: Which user groups can have their members set as Validating.


NOTES:

  • BUTTONS WILL ONLY SHOW FOR MEMBERS OF THE GROUPS YOU SELECT IN THE SETTINGS
  • If it still doesn't appear, go to ACP -> System -> Get Support and click in Clear system caches.

Thanks for the plugin.

The version Invision Community 4.5.4.2 does not display a button in the admin panel when editing a user, as in your screenshot.

Would be really useful,  but it's not showing me any buttons, not on the Public Profile nor in the ACP.

After clicking "Validating" as admin, the user doesn't get any email (even if he click "resend confirmation email"). The email is sent only when I send it again in ACP. In my forum all normal e-mails are getting correctly.

If you fix it I will give 5 stars.

Response from the author:

This resource DO NOT send any email. It changes the state of the account. The email is sent/handled by the Core.
